Thank you to all the families that were able to attend our SEMESTER SHOWCASE on Jan 8.
This event puts student work on display and is only made possible through the dedication of our electives teachers.
Highlights from first semester include PLTW projects, flight demonstrations, and a Health Hallway, busking by our intermediate and advanced orchestra students, colorful & creative artwork on display (including an outdoor luminary!), Chinese yo-yos, and a theatrical performance! #ItsAGreatDayToBeAMustang #TMMSin205

Let there be light! Thank you to @WeShareSolar and @CultivatePower for allowing our Marshall 5th & 7th graders to participate in this initiative! We are honored to play a small role in the humanitarian efforts to bring light to refugee camps in Uganda. #TMMSin205 #ItsAGreatDayToBeAMustang

Mrs. Barnett's 7th grade English class just completed their historical leaders project. Students shared their research and knowledge with Marshall Elementary first graders who are launching into their unit on historical biographies. #TMMSin205 #ItsAGreatDayToBeAMustang

Our 8th grade Literature Studies class enjoys visiting with their Marshall Elementary book buddies each quarter! The middle school students work 1 on 1 or with small groups to support the students' elementary learning goals.

Seventh graders at Marshall Middle School are building We Share Solar® Suitcases to bring electricity to schools in Uganda's Bidi Bidi Refugee Settlement, home to 270,000 South Sudanese refugees. Led by Teacher Stacy Wallace and in partnership with Cultivate Power, these students are gaining hands-on STEM skills while making a global impact.

We are excited to share that the 2025-2026 school year calendar was approved by the school board on Tuesday night. It includes several important updates that reflect our commitment to aligning with neighboring districts and enhancing the overall learning experience for our students.
Key Changes :
Earlier Start Date: The school year will begin earlier in August. This adjustment is possible because all RPS 205 schools are equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable learning environment during warmer months.
Fall Break: We will continue to offer a full week off for Fall Break, giving families and staff time to recharge.
First Semester Ends Before Winter Break: High School students will complete their first semester before Winter Break, allowing for a true break without pending exams or projects.
School Year Ends Before Memorial Day: The last day of school will occur before Memorial Day, providing families an earlier start to summer vacation.
The 2025-2026 calendar can be viewed here on the Calendar page on rps205.com: https://5il.co/33ras
